Mike Matusow goes off on Gus Hansen during a post-game interview on Poker Superstars. Some highlights:
Gus hits a 3-outer to win after putting Mike all-in every hand with blinds still low and manageable.
Mike calls Gus an idiot.
Mike says Gus doesn’t understand no-limit hold ‘em
Mike thinks Gus doesn’t understand pot odds.
Some of the most recognizable faces and names in poker talking about poker on television and its impact on the game. This roundtable includes Howard Lederer, Phil Gordon, Mike Matusow, Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth, along with host Chris Rose facilitating the discussion.
I love that Phil Gordon calls Matusow on his bull and Matusow blows […]
Learn from the Pro’s, a show on Fox Sports Net, had great tips presented in a roundtable format with poker professionals speaking extemporaneously, giving you insight into how they think and react in situations. This episode included Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harmon, Layne Flack, Chris Ferguson, and hosts Howard Lederer and Chris Rose. They are talking about playing in and out of your comfort zone, a great discussion for players that think they want to move up in stakes.
I just love the Phil Hellmuth blow-ups. Let’s face it, I could create an entire website of nothing but Hellmuthian bad behavior. Here’s a classic from the WSOP (2005?), when Phil takes a bad beat after he gets re-re-reraised by a guy overplaying his KJ.
We haven’t posted a Tony G. video in a while. Here he is going up against Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, and sticking the knife in deep when he busts The Mouth.
This is my favorite hand ever of TV poker - Barry Greenstein and Sammy Farha during the first season of High Stakes Poker. Sammy had been playing loose and fast all night, winning all along, while Barry played patient until Barry picks up AA and Sammy picks up KK on the final hand of the evening. Nearly $400,000 is at stake.
This is a really interesting hand, and not just because Dave “Devilfish” Ulliot calls Tony G. a ‘fucking prick’ after G flops a 3-outer. Fish comes back to river with his own 3-outer and the best hand holds up, but the trash-talking is great and Vickie Coren has a helluva decision to make with AQ after an all-in and a call in front of her.
These points leagues can change the strategy at the table at any given moment based on each players position in the standings, and make a different dynamic than the standard NLHE tournament.
But, if you want REAL entertainment, the comments by each player at the end of the video are AWESOME!
